You’ll also hear from guest speakers, participate in workshops, connect with female engineers and entrepreneurs, and go on field trips.

Each of the Summer Safari programs explores the lives, habitats and conservation of animals around the world. Week-long sessions include exciting hands-on activities, lessons,
craft projects, science experiments and walks through the Zoo (but no direct contact with animals). Camp sessions are grouped into four grade levels: K-1, 2-3, 4-5 and 6-7.

SEEK, a three-week program, is designed to expose black children to STEM fields as early as the third grade and through 12th grade. Students participate from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily,
so each student is given 105 contact hours per summer.
High School Visitation (HSV) is a comprehensive, hands-on program to give young women an in-depth look at the field of engineering. High school students from the state of Virginia are welcome
to apply, and interested students may be selected to stay overnight.
